A below poverty line kids schooled in govt school, medchal , Telangana India, are deprived of basic necessities. Precious girls identified them and distributed sanitary pads sufficient for 3 months for 80 girls. We educated them on how important is it to stay hygienic during periods and how it would help them in chasing their dreams without worrying about their health during periods. We have also teamed up with the local district office of education and promised to donate certain amount from precious girls on a monthly scale and have negotiated with them to make sanitary pads avl for free for these girls schools within the district. The sanitary pads are not being available for free in about 10 schools in this district so far. Precious girls feel proud to be able to negotiate and influence for free availability of sanitary pads in govt schools in that district.
